Austin is my favorite skyline in Texas. San Antonio is great once you are down there walking around since its fairly dense due to everything on the riverwalk. Dallas just doesn't do it for me and Houston has its spots but something is missing there.
If skylines could be compared to residential homes:
Dallas - Tract home (unoriginal and can be seen anywhere)
Houston - That expensive home with subpar finishes but is priced as if it were custom
San Antonio - 1950s ranch that is nice on the inside but not impressive from the outside
Austin - Custom, New, Expensive, Fun to look at and everyone wants one
Location: Austin -> San Antonio -> Columbia -> San Antonio -> Chicago -> Austin -> Denver -> Austin

Hey! Don't talk trash about Fort Worth. I'm a homie and still have a soft spot in my heart for the place. Downtown is actually quite nice. Take a tour.

anyone ever notice how many rarely used baseball fields are along LBL from Austin High to Longhorn Dam? I heard a long time ago it was something like 12. If that is true, seems like a huge waste. Keep it park land, but 12 is overkill for a game/sport Austinites are not known for.

those under-used baseball fields next to Zach Theater was the original proposed location of the MLS stadium until the zilker nimby's killed it.
