Let's see, inspired by the East Coast I started on the district soon after I came back. I created the separate file for the district June 14th and pasted it into the city yesterday July 15th, so exactly a month.

I never did finish Staunton, ususally after I finished Downtown I would move on and start a new version of Staunton, this being the fifth version of Staunton, and hopefully the final. I have no intentions of stopping, I'm hoping to finish downtown, move to Ganton & Jefferson, then finally tackle Uptown, after that, who knows?

Honestly I don't think I'll ever finish Staunton, I'm hoping to finish the two cities and uptown by next year.

---

So now I'm concentrating on the Marsh Medical Center, I've finished 4/9 blocks. On the left is the Children's Hospital, on the right is the old Martin Luther King Memorial Hospital.

I've been thinking alot about Kent Field, expect it soon (I HOPE). The Saints will play across the river in downtown Jefferson by the Jefferson bridge. Between the Jefferson and Staunton Bridges will be the new North Star Football Stadium. Both Stadiums will literally be across the street.

Kent Field will be an older Jewel Box Stadium, modeled after the now demolished Tiger Stadium in Detroit, I picture North Star Stadium to lbe big, brand new, and modeled after Lincoln Financial Field in Philly, I don't know how I'll model that bad boy though hah!

The Galcorp Basketball Arena will be Uptown, the only Staunton team that actually plays within the city limits. The Staunton Wolves Hockey team (thanks flamersrule!) will play at USAirlines Arena in suburban Ganton (which I'll probably never model haha)

An industrial park on the large port on the top of the picture would look great. Like that new Brooklyn Bridge Park being built!

I see it is you can put a baseball stadium in The suburbs or Downtown, you can't put a football stadium downtown but you can't put an arena in the suburbs. You can put a baseball and a football stadium next to each other but you can't put an arena next to eathier of those. (This is influenced on me living in dfw though).

Themedicalcenter is nice looking, the building in the mid back is awesome.

You know Austin your right, except in PHILLY where all four major league stadiums are next to each other

I hope a football stadium that close to downtown won't be too unrealistic, earlier in Staunton I considered putting it where the Convention Center was but chose the easier step and just modeled the Convention Center.

I knew Staunton was huge, but didn't know it was that huge! It's ginormous. Fantastic job you've done there.

I don't know, It dosn't look like it will be fun since it will mostly be lowrises, but once its done I'll finally give you guys some amazing shots since the skyline looking from the southeast will look COMPLETE.

The top will be home to the Pier 13 Mall and Farly Fish Market, although all the piers to the right wil have plenty of dock looking things haha.

Yeah I tossed the Bullsharks for the Saints, I love the name the Staunton Saints. I'm debating on whether to make the Saints the worst team in the league, I'm not sure what to do with Staunton's "image" now that Jefferson is a separate city. So Staunton might loose its "worst city in america" thing and end up being a healthy city home to the affluent. While it's ugly step sister of a city Jefferson across the river continues to struggle with soaring crime rates, bad leadership, a declining population, and becoming closer and closer to becoming a complete urban wasteland.

---

Some ugly renders of Justice Street.

Here we are in the early morning looking West to where the Uptown Skyline would be in the distance, the Ameribank Building in the sun.

Looking East to City Hall while the sun sets.

A mall sounds good. Will it be like an old mall? A new mall? 80's looking mall? Piery looking mall?

So it's been about three months since I've even touched Staunton, I don't know what happened after the last update but I suddenly lost interest. August rolled around and I started my junior year of high school and I must say this year is by far the best, so I've been pretty busy with life, all I can say is that it's going great.

I've tried working on Staunton but I'm fresh out of ideas, sure I could go across the river and do Ganton or Jefferson, but I lack the interest to do so, I mean look at this fourm, it's pretty quiet now! I would like to do a side project, I've always dreamed of a midwestern city with a modest skyline, but whenever I open sketchup I quickly grow bored.

Staunton is not dead, I hope to finish it, it may be 10 years from now but I have to finish what I started! Hopefully sometime soon I suddenly get the inspiration to continue working on Staunton! Cause god knows the last thing we all want is another reboot of Staunton!
