That white-circle edifice in Montreal is nothing less than a human atrocity on the scale of the Holocaust. Emaciated camp survivors stumbling out of Auschwitz upon its liberation would have cast their eyes upon that building and exclaimed, "Nay, please, allow us to turn around and return to the barracks, the starvation, the disease, and the torture if that is what is to assault our vision on the outside".

May have been the most tasteless comment I've read on this forum. Jesus Christ, go get a breath of fresh air and touch some grass.

Eh. Pretty dark, but humor goes there sometimes. The most respected comediens go to some taboo areas. Dave Chappelle makes light of child molestation for example.

I think it sorta works because of the color saturation

But yes, in person it’s offensive.

It was meant to amusing, but I guess it failed miserably.

Just a little....I get it if you pitched this IRL, but online this reads as very flat and well, offensive.

Anyways, I look forward to someday visiting Montreal, what a gorgeous city.

Making light of Auschwitz would work better in real life? You've never been to Montreal?

Yes, I apologize to everyone for the offensive joke. I live in a neighbourhood that is, at a guess, about 80% Jewish, and I wouldn't consider, as a Gentile, telling such a joke to one of my neighbours. Perhaps that's a good yardstick for Internet discourse: Would you say it to someone in real life? If not, then don't write it online.
