Just a heads up, numerous farmer market vendors will be outside of City Hall this saturday to help provide additional atmosphere to the River City Round Up festivities.

If you guys like the idea of increasing the farmers market presence outdoors during the winter make sure you come out and support it.

(could somebody also post this on C2E)

Your chili was delicious, though it could have used a tad more heat.
That was quite the turnout. Booths ran out of cups, spoons and eventually chili.

Always a fun event and great fundraiser for Lat 53.

http://latitude53.org/schmoozy

Saturday November 9, 8:00 pm

Schmoozy is your future: Latitude 53 invites friends and guests to tempt fate at our seasonal fundraiser and silent auction.

It’s inevitable: with winter comes our annual gala fundraising event. The Fine Art of Schmoozy returns in style to celebrate the 40th year of Latitude 53 with a silent art auction, live music, fortune telling, special cocktails, and plenty more magic. It’s going to be an unbelievable night in our wondrous new gallery.

On the program:

Food From: Accent Lounge, The Common, and MRKT, and confections by Duchess Bake Shop
Know your future, with Tarot Card readings by fabulous fortune tellers
Hennessy and Belvedere Vodka cocktails

Our annual silent auction featuring pieces from fantastic Edmonton artists, beautiful designer objects and special experiences to be won. Find out about the artists.
Dreamy live music by Taiwan

DJ Mitchell Hopkins keeps the party alive into the dark night

In October, advance tickets are available for $40 (or $50 at the door)—or visit us at the gallery and get a $5 members’ discount.

Never went, but heard very mediocre reviews at best.

Very odd. The location is excellent. However, an ex girlfriend had a Salon/Spa at that location (Inside And Out) circa 2001. Could not make it work. She said simply there was not enough foot traffic and parking was an issue!! Who knows!

I am assuming the corner took a hit from the cloasing of Groat Bridge there. As was stated above, that intersection is fragile because it doesn't get the foot traffic like some other corners do.

Jack's have said the liquor permit is not going to be had until spring now, when they can use the patio.
