It isn't 100% for certain, but the above render may be what they have planned for this lot.
Mini tower crane is now on site and operational.

Photo found on Retail Talk & Share showing the latest expansion (under construction) of the Xtreme Cold airside cold storage facility on Aviation Avenue.

This is the second expansion of this large refrigerated warehouse, which now has direct access to the YQM tarmac, to better serve all the international seafood exports to Asia.

This is one of about half a dozen active construction projects on Aviation Avenue. This area is absolutely exploding with activity.

It will now be called "Balade". 6 floors, 127 units.

According to a T&T article today, they expect occupancy in early 2026.

Here is the web page for Balade:

https://baladeapartment.ca/

The most interesting thing is that the page hints at another upcoming Quest project for Acadie Avenue - Le Marki.

The page includes a small thumbnail image of what this building will look like:

They don't say exactly where on Acadie this building will be built, but, Quest does own a property essentially right across the street from Balade. I am assuming it will go there.

The densification of downtown Dieppe continues............

This image from the Quest website showing the footprint and location of Balade (with relation to Promenade Neuf) also shows the empty lot across the street where I presume Le Marki will be built:

I wonder who has to foot the bill for that crane being on site for close to 2 years doing absolutely nothing?

That is the question......

Since the delay was apparently due to a legal matter, the cost of the crane sitting idle may have been included in the settlement.

We will never know.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned - I can't recall.

They have clear cut a large lot on the NE corner of the Dieppe Blvd/Melanson Road roundabout. This is right across the street from this major development under construction:

I suspect another large apartment building in the offing.

They have removed the gas bar from the IGA/Co-op on Dieppe Blvd. They are busy digging up the fuel storage tanks.

There have been rumours of an expansion to the IGA?Co-op to compete with the new Superstore across the street. Perhaps this is indeed the case.......

Yes, this is indeed a store expansion.

A trusted source has advised me there will be a new mixed use development built on Champlain Street downtown.

It will be where the "Carry My Keys" building is as well as the 3 houses to the corner of Rue de College and will be a 4 to 5 storey mixed use building. Apparently this will be a condo project.

There are quite a few projects happening in this area at the moment:

1. This lot is newly cleared as mentioned.
2. Clearing has started on what will be a new street opposite of Aucoin.
3. Clearing was done on this lot last fall and site prep is now underway for what looks like an apartment building. Unclear if the new street will link up to this but it would make sense.
4. There are two decently large foundations poured here. Unlikely the are houses or even townhouses. I assume these are 2 new apartment buildings.
5. Construction is wrapping up on a 3 floor building (looks like 12 units).
6. The large development you posted on Melanson.

Plus just beyond this map to the south east is the new Quest Ekinox building which is wrapping up.

A little bit more info released today from Quest on their Keith Road land development, including what I believe is the first rendering. It will be called Origine Village and will feature several types of developments from townhouses to 7-storey apartment buildings.

Press release here:

Excellent! Thanks.

This project is expected to unfold over several years, with construction of the first buildings set to begin as early as late summer, marking the first step in the creation of this dynamic, multi-faceted community.
So, will there be a new tower crane in uptown Dieppe by this fall???

Just look at all the projects on display in Dieppe on this page alone. You can see what sort of a trajectory Dieppe is currently on. It is very impressive, and, this is only a portion of the whole metropolitan area.

#1 sounds like that large lot with the mature trees along the north side of the cemetery on Amireault. A developer wanted to build a large apartment complex here the other year, but, was successfully defeated by well organized neighbours. I guess they want to try again. I hope they have a plan this time to protect the trees!

#2 is most likely le Marki, mentioned a little higher up on the page. This should pass through the planning process without difficulty.
