Yesterday, I found myself wandering around downtown Trenton and realized the Americans could take this base in minutes, not days. What a dump. https://imgur.com/a/1q0M3P9
6C and sunny today. Pretty typical for this time of the year. Still that little breeze that is making the day a tad more unpleasant than what it would otherwise be.
Low of -1C (wind chill of -6) this morning.
The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 15.6C
Warmest low was Sand Heads, BC at 7.7C.
Grand Etang and Cheticamp fell dramatically and ended with lows around 6C. So warmest low mark of 11.4C remains from late January.
Walked a couple of trails today. On one I found a slice of tree that I decided to keep. Daughter turned it into a pizza. On the other I noticed a car at the bottom of the valley, just like a couple of months ago. Next time when it's just me I'll go down there and check it out. See if I can get it running again.
Also, ducks were going yard to yard in the morning. Last time I saw this was four years ago when a female duck was being voluntarily raped as part of a mating ritual. Odd that they chose a front yard to do it though.
Spring is in full bloom in Vancouver. The first is an unusual strip of street trees (maybe some kind of flowering magnolia?). The second is a very early blooming rhododendron.
Feels like a typical late April day here - mild, moist, grey.
My crocuses first started poking their heads out April 6 last year, but then we had a cold snap or whatever and they didn't really bloom until mid-May Fingers crossed this year is better.

Got up to 9º in Sackville, sunny and almost zero wind. First day the felt like spring, and the tulips on the Mount Allison campus are starting to bud up! Should be another good one tomorrow before it goes back to rain and cloud
And of course Thursday we are supposed to 10cm of snow...
Our to me parents' in the Pearl for Easter supper. Snow really took a cutting out here. At least the people living in this suburban hellscape have that going for them haha.
EDIT: Home sweet home. My parents' gave me my childhood chair I've shoved it in the office for now.

I was just at the MB's in Orangeville, Ontario ha: another driving lesson for my friend's daughter and we stopped for a break here. She got a chicken and taters combo. A beautiful, sunny noon hour in the Mono/Hockley Valley/Orangeville/Schomberg area.
On her seventh time driving, her fifth on public roads, she's a lot smoother and only stalled twice.
