London Drugs has great street presence but the actual entrance is via Woodwards' central atrium.

Not all for this building... It's got the height but it's the oldest-looking new building i've seen!... I'm not a hater so don't kill me

^ I view that as a compliment.

You know what they say, they just don't build em like they used to.

I think the intricate detail work and materials make this building merely worthy of being compared to the magnificent architectural traditions that have fallen to the wayside, replaced with space efficient, design lacking glass boxes.

Wow, I just love this shot... really shows a side of Vancouver architecture most people don't know even exists.

Nice Festival pics Cal!>.... SUCH A WINDY AND ICY DAY to be taking shots!...

The cladding has moved up nicely and has wrapped around the tower!

*But those un-cladded balconies look yucky

I find festival tower to be an absolute bore, a complete wash architecturally, but the bell lightbox podium component looks great.

Yeah... pretty much... the tower itself (festival tower) is really basic design with a little lightbox at the roof...

The podium makes this building unique

^well i like it so far.
like adolf loos, i think ornament is for suckers. (i think the red oxide van. sfu tower is cheesy 'make-up & hair', 'interesting-for-a-few-weeks-now-knock-the-prop-down' type of style. -what is that 'style' anyway?)
i trust bell litehouse will turn out as enduring and striking as mls, the other current big project by highly esteemed kpmb -maybe even better with its trend setting voluminous podium. well, perhaps i would have maybe preferred a bigger panel size/different proportion/modulus & colour for the podium panelling -maybe.
but so far, two li'l thumbs up.

the best feature of the tower portion of the tiff, will be the balconeys which have yet to be installed, this will make the tower one of the best in the city.... the only thing we were wishing for a taller tower...

^In general. The simon fraser university (or some university) building is the midirse with London Drugs. I can't say why I'm just not a fan. Anyways, my comment isn't necessarily ment as a compliment.
