Newfoundland has a couple local ads, but they honestly seem more professional than most American or Toronto locals. I can't remember seeing things like that in Calgary, unfortunately.

The college here has a film course so most of our TV ads these days are quite well done. Those that aren't are crappy because they tried copying the Americans and failed.

Harry, third in line to the throne, stunned onlookers when he loaded his trolley with frozen pizzas, beer, and for a healthier snack, bananas.
Earlier in the day, Harry stopped off for some bacon and eggs at Pipes Cafe in Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
A source told US Weekly: 'He stood in line like everyone else.'
And he clearly has a healthy appetite.

I was at Wal-Mart today for the first time in several months. I didn't buy anything.

What an awful experience it was - actually, the whole excursion to bigboxland pretty much ruined my day. I probably walked about 3km looking for the same few items at 5 different stores. I didn't find most of what I went for. Doesn't help that it's ALWAYS windy there; it wasn't even a windy day today, but I go up to Stavanger Dr, and it's always blowing.

I never find anything I want at big box stores. They sell millions of things, but what you need is never in stock. Superstore has been sold out of cat litter for two weeks, and all summer, there were no potatoes. At all. But fuck, do they ever stock a lot of batteries. At the end of every single aisle, batteries.

I needed some cleaning solution for my electric razor. Both WM and Dominion (Superstore) sold the razor itself, but both were sold out of the solution. I wanted Archer season 2 on DVD, and all I found was a Dominion employee that gave me the entire season synopsis. I wanted a couple packs of thin coloured pins (see photo), but all Staples had were the regular thick ones that take up way too much map. And yeah, I did get batteries.

I never want to be in the situation where I actually see this woman eat......I've heard stories, like how she can eat an entire pie without the use of utensils.
