Couple weeks old but pretty cool shot from the lake. Not going break any records but low clouds gives you a good perspective on height above the avg Streeterville 400-600ft range.

Nice shot AMW. That view makes me think of back when that strip of land was naked. When they built 500 lsd I thought, that, made a huge presence and difference. This is a whole new level of impact, even if you dont like the design.

Definitely beefs up the skyline, and with the way it towers over the shorter LSD fronting buildings it adds a level of depth when viewing from the lake or Navy Pier.

It's just an OK tower for me. Could have used more detailing on the shaft.

What’s going on with the base? Have they decided after the fact that it needs to be taller?

^^This is turning out very close to the render. It appears that the copper cladding is going up on some parts of the exterior. The base always had a pergola or whatever design on the 3rd floor deck.

Agreed. At least it adds a decent amount of height to Streeterville, which felt locked under a 600-700 ft ceiling with no towers really breaching that height.

I expect these interiors are great. Robert Stern is known for that. And yes the neighborhood is better.

It really would depend on the view for me on that debate. If you said a 60th floor park/lake/city view from OGP/NEMA vs. OBP, yeah, OBP won't stand a chance.
