My only gripe about this building is the boxy base. If they continued the entire shape of the tower on all sides, this thing would be perfect.

I imagine it's because parking garages are like hotels in the respect that it's easier to build the exact same floor all the way up, because "form follows function" is less expensive.

View of the cranes from BEPI Park Troll and if you did not know BEPI (Baylor, Enfield, Parkway Intersection) Park is the tiniest city park in Austin. Make sure to see the BEPI Park Troll before spring is over where it's going to be dismantled and reinstalled as part of a permanent installation in New York’s Guggenheim Museum.

Tiniest city park in Austin. Is that to say there are smaller city parks in TX?

O’Melveny & Myers LLP leased 28,000 square feet in The Republic office tower on Fourth Street, which is set to open in mid-2025, according to an April 29 announcement. The global law firm joins two other tenants, Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Vista Equity Partners, to push the tower to nearly 50% pre-leased....

Same. I've been looking forward to getting the glass up higher on the building to see a larger impact. Looks awesome.

Love the picture update. The cut out in the various sections of this tower are ending up pretty clean and tight.

Does it seem like this building is going slower then many others?

No, not really. Think of it as you would the Waterline; large floor areas, block-sized podiums. The rest of the towers are more like quarter-sized blocks and have podiums that conform to the tower more.

The Republic and Waterline started around the same time (summer '22) and are still at similar heights today.
