Fuck yeah, baby. HOME!

(And yes, Marty, PAL did indeed tell us LIES. LIES AND DECEIT).

And what a lovely view of downtown landing (it goes out of focus for just a sec. Too lazy to edit that out...)

Video Link

Also, that PAL flight is a bit of a milk run - Wabush, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Deer Lake, then St. John's. When I was flying out to Deer Lake first, I was genuinely shocked by the sheer quantity of drop-dead gorgeous, ripped young men. But none of them got off at Deer Lake. lol Same thing today, about half the plane were gorgeous and already on board when we got on in Deer Lake. Must be mine labourers commuting to Labrador. The three in across the aisle from me were even decent people. Male, VERY obviously gay flight attendant, walking down the aisle counting people with a wrist/finger flourish Arab belly dancers would envy, and they laughed, and I thought... oh God... but one buddy said, "All my strength not to start saying random numbers as he went by..." and the other said, "I was thinking the same thing b'y" lol

EDIT: So so good to be home!

Mostly overcast and grey, with increasing sun and blue skies late this afternoon. Spotted these Winter Aconite flowers in High Park an hour ago

Gorgeous pics. You remind me I emailed a photo of my ID to some mushroom dispensary in Vancouver but never ordered anything yet.

I've tried EVERYTHING at least once, just to see. Excluding injections, and the scary shit like heroin, actual meth, crack, etc. But I've tried everything else, EXCEPT mushrooms.

That's the only thing left that I'm both willing to try and also have not yet tried. Which is kind of weird here, as they grow wild everywhere, but I don't know what I'm at in that regard so I'd never get my own, and I've seen enough videos of bad trips on Youtube that I'm unwilling to do it at a party, etc. I need a safe, ground-level space with a couple good buddies to give it a shot, and that just hasn't come together yet lol

Thanks, man.

Yeah, mushrooms are tricky. I don't really touch them these days. I've micro dosed a couple of times since I've been back to Canada, but my days of tripping are long over. If you do partake, I'd recommended to stay at home with some friends, and only do a gram your first time. Don't go all in, and eat two or three grams. It'll be too wild of a ride, I think.

Anyway, that was one of the bigger surprises after moving back to Vancouver; mushroom retail shops! I did a double take when I first saw them.

11C and sunny. It's another spectacular March day. The day started cloudy but cleared by early afternoon.

Vegetation is waking up.

Low of 4C this morning.

The warmspot was Hope, BC at 19.8C.

Warmest low was Cumshewa Island, BC at 8.1C

'Twas a beautiful sunny day.

Friday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 11 C, the low was 4 C.

Vancouver Harbour was probably one of the cooler weather stations around the city.

+4C and sunny in Moncton at 11 AM, going up to +6C this afternoon. A very nice day.

Headed down to Halifax to see Dune Part 2 at the IMAX with one of my sons. I already saw it once at the Super AVX cinema in Dieppe here, but some movies just have to be seen in IMAX. Between the movie, snacks, gas, tolls, and a restaurant meal along the way, I'm probably gonna spend at least $250 - on a movie!!!

When are they finally gonna build a God damned IMAX in Moncton. We have two cinema complexes in the city with a total of 16 screens. Surely they could find room for one fucking IMAX screen somewhere!!!

My cousin was a corporate lawyer for IMAX. He used to hook me up with tickets. I’ll see what I can do. Though he left there 20 years ago.

Thursday’s rain turned the river brown.

IMAX's headquarters are actually in Mississauga. As a big fan of cinema, it's cool that a Canadian company has had such a big impact on the industry. Hopefully they add some more locations outside of the large population centres in Canada.

The weather this morning: cold, overcast, blustery. Currently 2. Heading up to 9, supposedly.

7 day forecast is chilly and unsettled. Not a major cold dip; temps will only be slightly below average. Probably no major snow events either.

7 day: 9/5/3/2/3/4/6

That Mississauga location is where he worked. It was early to mid 2000's and that was the last time I saw an IMAX movie, only because he would hook it up. First time, which I'm sure is the experience of a lot of people, was at Ontario Place.

*********************************************************

Was just in a neighbour's backyard. The pan he uses for oil has been left on the lawn for a while. I kicked it up and there's apparently lettuce growing underneath. Well that's what it looks like. I'd be willing to pay $20 to watch someone eat this. Could put a little salad dressing on top.

Is this Bronte Creek? Or 16 Mile I guess. I can see the Queenston Formation in this

16 Mile. Very similar settings for both rivers. I wanted to go down by the GO station and wade for golf balls but before doing that I wanted to check the levels upstream so rode my bike to go take a look. The golf balls will have to wait

Yeah, fair enough. I've only been to Bronte Creek once, by the stretch near Dundas and Appleby Line. I'll have to visit 16 Mile again and actually explore it.
