Haha Tony, I was referring to the hope that the 1101 Walnut would be built soon. (That corner is in the foreground.)

I might be in the minority - but watching that drone video a few times - I like this building a lot. Looks modern, different, but not overwhelming. Something you might see going up in Berlin or Rotterdam. That area needed some modernity--this building, the new Jefferson Hospital, and 1213 Walnut up the street help make the neighborhood feel more alive.

Was hoping someone would speak in its defense lol.. Totally agree - it’s actually probably my favorite high rise currently under construction in the city. It’s a nice departure from the ubiquitous blue glass tower. Something unique.

I like this building too and I prefer it to the generic glass towers that seem to be the standard today.

Bad, blurry far away pic from CBP - but you can see this one circled on the right (and the new Jefferson Hospital behind it)!

Total side note - someone from the Phillies should demand that the Live Casino add some sort of living green wall to that parking garage side that faces the stadium.

I’m currently standing at the corner of 12th and Sansom, where I can see heavy smoke emanating from the roof level of the northeastern corner of the building. There’s some kind of fire up there.

Well… that’s gonna delay things.

Hope everyone is alright and the damage isn’t too bad.

There was some sort of explosion on the roof. They showed video of it on the news. It was kinda crazy.

In some more positive news pre-fire, they were testing out the lighting scheme last week. The balconies overlooking 12th Street all appear to have an LED strip their full length along the floor piece. It was just white the other day but curious what sort of lighting options they might have with those!
