OK boys, let's do this and bring Cito his third World Series ring!!!!!

Let's Go Blue Jays - Let's Play Ball!!!
I always liked Cito. Is he ill? At 81, he's no spring chicken, but he could live another couple of decades if his health is sound. His remarks seem to indicate elsewise.

...another "couple decades"? Have you looked up the human life expectancy recently?

have you looked up the meaning of could lately?

_____________

Brewers and Cubs tied rn. Go Cubbies!

I'm still hoping for a Jays vs Dodgers World Series, but Toronto vs Chicago would be pretty special.

Well he could live another hundred centuries if one of these rapidly aging billionaires finds the secret to avoiding death, but lets stick within the realm of realistic possibility.

Really tough ending to the game last night for us Tigers fans. I'm rooting for Seattle or Milwaukee now since neither of them have won it all before.

Go Seattle Go!

And bring the trophy up Interstate 5 to Vancouver if you win.

I'm routing for the Jays of course, but Seattle is my second choice, so if the Jays lose, I won't be crying in my beer. Seattle is an underrated team, it'll be a good series I think.

Are there any Mariners fans in Vancouver? Or does everybody there root for the Blue Jays?

Wondering if it's a similar situation as Detroit-Windsor.

Er, you do realize how many people nowadays live well into their nineties and beyond, do you not? Canada's current life expectancy, combining sexes (women live longer), is just under 82. That is an average, indicating self-evidently that many, many folks are living much longer than 82. And as EnvisionStJ wryly pointed out, I wrote "could", not "would". Yes, depending on the state of his health, he could absolutely live another 20 years. I don't know why that set you off, unless I misinterpreted your tone.

As for talk of the Expos, there just happens to be a brand new documentary called "Who Killed the Montreal Expos?". Give it a gander, if interested.

Of course there are.

There are Mariners fans in the lower mainland.

There are lots of Tigers fan in Windsor-Essex/

There are Red Sox fans in the Maritimes, especially NB, where a weekend road trip to catch a game is a possibility.

I would imagine there are a few Twins fans in Manitoba.

I wonder who Quebecers tend to cheer for???

I haven't spent much time there lately, but in my time there I would say not many, if any at all. Most people who aren't Jays fans tend to cheer for the Yankees, Dodgers, or Red Sox.

Yankees??
Lots of Mariner fans in Vancouver as Seattle is only 2.5 hours drive south.
And BC and Washington are best bros.

I had a feeling the Jays were going to take their foot off the gas tonight. Too much played up how tired the M's would be after their ALDS. Obviously a great start and they wore their starter down in the first but then let him settle into a groove. I still think the Jays are going to do this but man, this really should have been as close to a gimme as you can have. Seattle had the big Mo coming out of that series against Detroit and now keep it going with an upset win tonight. Maybe they crash out tomorrow and look they are carrying bags of potatoes around the based or something. I hope lol.

A rough one where the Jays didn't look engaged.

But I expect a very different game #2.

GO JAYS!

MLB's screwing over of the Expos killed my love of pro baseball. A pox on all their houses (yes I hold a grudge).

Coupled with the Toronto habit of assuming that everyone in this country loves the Jays, Raptors, and Leafs it gladdens my heart to see the tears on the faces of the talking heads on Toronto Sports Network and Rogers F**k Canadians Sportsnet when Toronto teams fall flat on their faces.

I haven't spent much time there lately, but I don't recall seeing or knowing any Mariner fans, or ever seeing someone wear a Mariner ballcap. Lots of people wearing ball caps of the other teams, though admittedly that could be a fashion thing.

What a surprise that insular BC bro would like anything out of his orbit.
