Yeah, he’s definitely pencilled in to be the 3rd line RW to start.

I'm curious how much ice time he will get, he has good hands and his hockey IQ is top notch. Will be crazy to hear them announce his name on opening night in the Dome, the place is going to go nuts!

Sums up the majority of Habs fans IQ and maturity level. The psycho said this summer that the Habs defense was better than last year. I'm sure they were a few delusional folks who believe him.

People need to understand that I watch hockey to be entertained. They took away what was most spectacular. I did give them a chance last year as well so it's not like I suddenly abandon them. Just so boring with #76. This summer was just the cherry on top.

Absolutely no comparison can be made with the Oilers and Leafs because I was a Habs fan in the darkest of time. The fact is I will not support them has absolutely NOTHING to do with whether they suck or not and 100% to do with 1 man.

Not before Bergevin is fired that's for sure.

Anyway, I wish the Habs luck this year but I don't see them making the playoffs. Price will not be of help with such garbage D. No puck moving defenseman so transition will be inexistent in my opinion.

It's too bad Davidson has seemingly dropped way down the depth chart in MTL, he was looking like he had a good chance to be a solid bottom pairing D man in Edmonton

I guess karma came back to laugh at me for my little burn earlier because Montreal ended up spanking the Sens 9-2 to wrap up their pre-season haha

Since it seems like my "Habs-can't-score" resulted in some unintended reverse psychology, let's try this; "Gee, I hope Bergevin doesn't get fired in October"

$1million plus bonuses for 1 year, 45 year Old Jagr? Why bother? It reminds me of a decade ago when Toronto started hiring everybody's old big name players nobody else wanted.

Jagr can still produce, and is a basically an NHL legend. For the right price, and provided the line up has room for a player like him - there are 31 teams that would consider taking a chance on Jagr. If for nothing else, to show your young guys what kind of work and training it requires to keep it up as you get older.

One million for Jagr is great...

One of the hardest working guys to ever play the game. Barkov and Huberdeau talked about how great it was to learn from a legend like that, and if even a little bit of it rubs off on the young guys in Calgary it's well worth it.

Flames need some more veteran leadership and Jagr still has some in the tank. He will play like 10 minutes a game, half of that on the PP, so not a bad signing. Jagr still had 46 points last year, so he's still able to contribute. If he doesn't work out, he won't play much and one of the young guys will get a chance...

They signed Marleau, and he had the same production as Jagr did.

Great deal for Winnipeg. Havign Ehlers and Sheifele locked up on those deals sets them up well for the future. Pretty happy as a Leafs fan since Ehlers is probably the best comparable we have for Nylander, actually put up more points than him last year. Hopefully get him on a similar contract.

Makes sense I suppose. I can't shake my memories of the Leafs ouckung up Belfour who fell apart yet we kept playing him so he could meet some magical record number of wins. Those were probably some if the lowest years for our franchise. $1 million is nothing though. I wonder what the bonuses are?
They must be pretty big for him to go there for such a tiny amount. Let's hope he makes much more then $1 million this season. 😉

Glad we don't need to. Montreal could definitely use him though.

Up to an extra $1 million in bonuses. From what I have seen reported.
