Tell that to the clear anodized railings on this building, who, if I were one of these railings, I'd be embarrassed for standing out so strongly, but I'm a natural introvert by nature
For reference, below, it's not impossible for developments in Ottawa to get it right. Note that careful selection of aluminum finishes is not impossible, and *gasp* the colour can vary on the same building! *shouts from the crowd* 'say it ain't so!' 'won't somebody please think of the children!'

Note: This is the correct way to vary colours and design language to break up a building, fool the eye into thinking you've got multiple small buildings. Claridge, take note. It's not just barfing materials onto an elevation and thinking a collage will do just fine.
But I'm not bitter... lol
