Thanks!
You can really see that the west wall is structural.
Nice reflection on the glass (too bad about the Hastings corner)

In some significant ways, the Granville Street building is the most important building going up in Vancouver right now. That first impression out of Waterfront Station will change radically and add in some ineffable but substantial way to the character of the area, even if the design is pretty standard Vancouver server farm. Can't think of another new construction that would have such immediate impact, aside from maybe a replacement of the London Drugs building across from the Bay building.

Yes, much better than the parkade that just killed that area, made it feel so dead and like wtf. And opposite the other parkade next to the station under Granville Square also kind of kills the pedestrian feel to that area. It always feels awkward walking down that part of the area.

Thanks for the update, mcminsen.

Just 3 more full-sized floors and 1 set-back floor to go. The cladding will then extend above the 4 remaining levels for an equivalent of 1.5 floors of additional height.

This building has a "pleasant" presence, is neither too small nor too big for the location, and its design features tie it in well with its neighbours.

The random angled mullions look good.
Simple effect without being overly technical.

Are they random? Looks like they form a diamond pattern

Actually, they do form a diamond pattern!
But there are some odd small ones thrown in, unless those are uncomplete.

This animation is further emphasized by the exterior of the tower, which was designed to catch and playfully reflect sunlight through a mullion pattern that evokes the fine stitching of a suit.
