EDMONTON - From one perspective, images of the new downtown Royal Alberta Museum almost look like several buildings instead of one, says architecture critic Trevor Boddy.
“It’s a very rich scene. It’s like a bit of cookery that’s got a bit of everything,” he said, pouring through new images online. There’s a large boxy wall on the west, then soft, curvilinear forms and open glazing through the centre. Another raised box is cantilevered out several meters along 97th Street.
