Looks to be the parkade attached to the building at 1090 West Pender Street. In the Ultimate Vancouver Rumour thread, people were saying the parkade and the building were in the process of being redeveloped.

Cool, I have never realized there is a roof-top parcade there. I need to see if it's possible to sneak in there to catch such an urban photo.

Just saw a commercial for the new Ford Fusion on CBC. Pretty sure in the last scenes as the car crosses a bridge that it's the Golden Ears bridge. Anybody else think that when they saw the ad? (sorry no video).

Certainly looks like it. Can we distinguish GEB from PRB?

Removing those viaducts is going to hurt our bustling car commercial industry.

All joking aside, is it just our local television, or does Vancouver get a solid proportion of car commercials filmed here (15%?)? It must be our adaptable mix of historical and "futuristic" architecture and variety of settings.

i've seen a lot of drug commercials filmed here too for the american market - they play a lot of those commercials on CNN, i don't get many channels here so CNN is usually the default channel

They're filming Arrow on the roof of Hudson's Bay tomorrow through Sunday.
Notice sent around the office:

Quote:
DATE: April 18, 2013

ATTENTION: All Office Tenants – 609 Granville, 700 West Georgia, and 701 West Georgia
WHAT: Filming Notification

WHEN: Friday, April 19 at 9:30 a.m. to Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Rooftop of the Hudson’s Bay Company (674 Granville Street)

WHY: Oliver Queens Films will be filming a scene for the Warner Bros. TV Series called “Arrow”

IMPACT: The scene will be a choreographed fight sequence. The scene will include hand-to-hand combat and a sword fight. While there will be no gunfire, there will be a special effects noise that will sound like a large firecracker. Atmospheric smoke and steam effects will also be used. To light this scene, lighting equipment will be placed in various locations on the roof and on the ground along West Georgia and Granville Street.

To facilitate the parking of essential filming equipment, the City of Vancouver will be posting “temporary no stopping” signs on the North side of 700 West Georgia Street (passenger zone at Pacific Centre Mall, in front of the Rotunda) from Saturday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 21.

Arrow always seems to film in a very small area of blocks between waterfront road and Georgia. That show is constant "Oh, they're in/at _____" for Vancouverites.

My car's ad was also filmed in Vancouver, featuring cameos from Gassy Jack and a girlfriend who works at Cactus Club

It's been filming in the area since the 9th and will be in the area until the 14th. By the way they are throwing money around it seems like it's going to be a huge budget film. Enjoy the pizza.
