Fleetwood Mac coming to Vancouver May 15

Fleetwood Mac fans take note: The legendary rockers will be coming to GM Place on May 15.

After previously announced tour dates were sold out, the band added 29 new dates to their Greatest Hits Unleashed concert tour for April and May, Live Nation reported on Wednesday.

The tour, which begins on March 1 in Pittsburgh, will include 44 shows in cities across Canada and the United States, and will wrap up in San Diego on May 31

Coldplay get 'intimate' with Vancouver concert crowd

Chris Martin of Coldplay announced Saturday night that of all the cities on their tour, the band have chosen to film the Vancouver concerts.

Halfway through the first show in a two-night stint at GM Place, Martin thanked the crowd for braving the traffic and 'missing Desperate Housewives', complimenting Vancouver audiences as the best in the world.

The love was evidently mutual, as the sold-out crowd of 30,000 remained on its feet throughout the show, echoing back to the band an energy high and so warm, the arena took on the intimate feel of a concert hall.

The love-in reached a crescendo when Martin and the band wove their way across the stadium floor to the back, slapping hands along the way and disappearing into a doorway, only to emerge moments later in the midst of the furthest reaches of the audience for a harmonica-laced, strummed rendition of Green Eyes.

clearly they had a difference experience than Britney
but since when does Gm place hold 30K people?

Number seems off, if they use a centre stage to allow for 360 degree seating I beleive they can hold just under 25K when you include the floor seating. But I have no idea if they used a centre stage.

They changed it so it doesn't say 30,000 now.

Fudge. I was out of town last week when the tix went on sale, and there's only single seats left, no side-by-side seats anymore. And I don't want to let some scalper make money off my misfortune.

I think the reporter was at the concert but not paying very close attention... Chris Martin specifically thanked the "13,000" fans which I thought was a bit of a low number, but not too far out when they didn't use at least a quarter of the seating capacity. It wasn't a 360 stage.
