"As expected, the city officially announced that Cornell and partner Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have been selected to build an applied sciences and engineering campus on Roosevelt Island...
...a temporary off-site campus will open next year, and
the first phase of the Roosevelt Island campus will be completed no later than 2017...
"Productive discussions are ongoing with other respondents" to the competition, including Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, and NYU, "and the possibility of additional science and engineering partnerships in the City is still open."
