I'm not one for musicals in all honesty.

Fun fact- historians aren't born with an encyclopedic knowledge of everything, nor can they cram the infinite information all in at once, they slowly learn it, over time, just like I am. What differs them from average people is that they spend more time doing it than the average person does, and they tend to have more general knowledge covering a broader scope than the average person. My knowledge tends to cover canada more than the states I am afraid, as that is what interests me, and that is where I live.

Sometimes we learn wrong info, sometimes we don't learn info that is common knowledge to others because we are too busy delving down rabbitholes and learning obscure information you've never even heard of.

We may not joke, but sarcasm is something we are well versed with.

You may be a self-taught or schooled historian...but you sure don't get context.

Does anyone know what is happening at "Raise the Hammer"? Their last posting was February 2nd. They have sometimes gone a week with out posting but never this long. There is so much going on out there, they should be posting daily.

I think they don't really cover as many developments and things because there's so many of them and so many other sites that cover them now. Back when RTH started they were basically the only site that covered anything Hamilton, especially downtown things.

A bunch of anarchists on Locke? Weird. Shouldn't take the cops long to figure this one out.

Change is always met with resistance, and the slow gentrification of hamilton is no different unfortunately..

^Do you think this was some sort of anti-poverty protest? Is that why they targeted Locke?

Yeah - locke is considered one of the "richer" sections of the city, and probably a sign of whats to come for the rest of the city, so they are lashing out at places I suppose that represent that "gentrification".

For them I think it;s not so much they don't want places to be restored, but they want the affordable prices that exist with the run down ma and pa shops - so gentrification just represents everything being too expensive for them to afford..

Yeah expect to see a lot more of it in future - wherever rot sets in anarchy forms - same thing happened in detroit..

By "featured you", do you mean used a photo you took as the third of three images in an article that has nothing to do with you at all?

Did those features get preserved, if they had survived to the end? I don't recall ever seeing that.

It is an interesting photo though.

It must have been on the inside or in the rear courtyard. I just looked at the building in google maps and I couldn't find it, even going back to 2009.
