Snow from last weekend is melting at a pretty fast clip. Still quite a bit on the ground but nowhere near where we were sitting a few days ago.

After a beautiful Monday temperatures in the past couple of days have been disappointing due to morning fog and persistent afternoon cloudiness. The long range looks mainly on the cooler side so the remaining few inches of snow cover will not be fully gone by the end of the weekend as I had hoped.

Winnipeg has mostly cloudy skies with a brief peek of the sun here and there, light winds from the north, and 4°C.

Hit 21 at my place this afternoon. I wonder what the airport hit as it’s usually a few degrees warmer there this time of year, further from the influence of Lake Ontario.

I had my windows open all afternoon - wonderful weather. Crazy to think that it’s March break, I remember 6ft snow banks on my driveway growing up on March break. Seems impossible now.

Those ramps for the bike are called wheeling ramps as I just discovered based on what you guys said. I actually initially thought that's what it might be for, but it's so close to the side that I thought the pedal would just get caught on the spindles of the stairs. But I suppose you keep your bike on an angle.

Solid spring-ish day. It can still feel cool when the wind picks up, but things should warm up significantly in the next few days. High of 10c.

Driving back from Ottawa, we noticed our car was reading 22 degrees, so we spent the afternoon in Toronto. It was down to about 18 by the time we got downtown, but definitely rose to over 20 while we were out walking around. Lots of people were out enjoying the sun

The sky was a real mixed bag today but it remained dry.
Quite the difference whether you're looking south (White Rock Live Cam)
or looking north (Vancouver Harbour Live Cam).

Wednesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 10 C, the low was 5 C.

One of the earliest springs on record in the Midwestern USA

The small honeysuckle bush in my yard correlates to the map, spring has reached extreme SW Ontario. Grass and wheat fields are nice and green in my area

+4C and sunny in Moncton at noontime. Going up to +6C this afternoon.

I see people are still skating on the Ian Fowler Oval at the Avenir Centre. They wouldn't be doing this if the oval weren't refrigerated. I imagine they will stop maintaining the oval soon.

If you look at the centre- right of the image, you can see the new Baton Rouge restaurant under construction next to the Crowne Plaza hotel.

Neighbour and I moon gazing yesterday evening. It was only a crescent moon so not a whole lot to look at. We also observed a plane and you could see that it's not one vapour trail but two that are created. It just looks like one from the naked eye.

Then hit the creek this morning. Not sure why there were two keys about 30 yards apart under the overpass. One might have been a rental but no logo on it. These could have fallen out of someone's pocket while they were wandering around down there. No way of knowing if it was recent and someone was going to back track and come looking for it there. Could also have been from a used car dealer and someone was test driving. Who knows.

+12 right now, Most of our snow from a few weeks back is gone. Temps up to +18 Sunday. But Tuesday we are tentatively getting snow down to -2.

The more moisture the better, we still have 60 fires burning from last year.

This map is based on when lilac/honeysuckle start leafing out, so that makes sense. I am pretty sure everywhere north of the current “leaf-out” line will be in record territory, except maybe some places on the Atlantic coast.

There’s some cold nights in the forecast over here, so I piled dead leaves over the plants that are sprouting in my yard. Hopefully this will limit the damage.
