Both Tower 1 & Tower 4 look great in this picture...4 WTC is really rising higher. I doubt that one will take until July to top out

Those views are simply amazing. They look just like the views from the Twin Towers. And we aren't even up to the observation deck floors yet! Can't wait to see pics from those floors!

Judging from the graph,I'll say it will at least be 2 more jumps of steel until 1 WTC is officially the new tallest building in NYC. Like I said a while back, let's hope this is the first successor of the ESB that will not be taken away from us.

Nope. 93M is where we are at right now. Floor 100 and 101 is next. These are the observation floors. It would be followed by 102 and 102M. They are also observation floors.

Is it safe to assume that base cladding should begin next week?

In a previous pic, the boards were being removed.

The view will be about the same. Now you wouldn't enjoy looking out of a 2,000 foot tower in NYC would you. That's why people like the Top of the Rock a bit more than the ESB's observatory. People like being surrounded at the same level/height of buildings around them, not to hover above all of that.

I feel the opposite. The higher, the better. It's just a thrilling thought in ones mind of being 2,000 ft high than 1,373 ft high.

Yea then you feel like you're not part of the world anymore. What I love about the empire state buildings is that its almost like a getaway without actually leaving the city. Its isolated from the city life with just the wind and the faint sound of car honks below

There is a floor and a staircase within the spire but it is only going to be used for maintenance and nothing else. Plus thanks to Otie we can see inside the spire.

And no there will not be a 2,000 footer in New York at least not anytime soon. Plus this building can't go to 2,000 feet. In architecture and engineering you learn that a building can only be designed to reach a specific height once started, and construction is almost done so the design or the height can't be changed. Except for the spire which Durst is trying to do, but people don't really like it and are protesting about it.
