I was wondering who was backing this project. Michael Lynde Jr. (Kairoi CEO) lists Blackstone, Otera Capital & PSP Investments as partners in this project on his LinkedIn.

Just did some reading about Blackstone REITs. Looks like they are flush with money from investors who have soured on the stock market. Small retail investors can now take the plunge with Blackstone for as little as $2500. Otera and PSP are Canadian outfits involved mostly with investing large institutional pension plans. PSP is a so-called Canadian Crown corporation, a quasi public entity chartered by the government of Canada.

It’s the second crane for The Travis.

When I look at the completion dates on these and other projects, I no longer count the number of years until we get there, rather how old I'll be and can I get there. Sad...
Not surprised albeit amazed that we have two in the top four.
I sometimes always said sooner or later we would have to go higher due to shrinking available desirable land options...among other reasons.

Ha. That is correct. They also have the Republic Tower listed as U/C but at the original 36-story height.

I've never seen this web-site before. I started poking around, and according to this web-site 98 Red River will be taller than the tallest buildings in:

Canada
Mexico
Brazil
Spain
France
England
India
Italy
Japan
Indonesia

... does that sound right?

Funnily enough, I sent a request this morning to change it hopefully they'll accept it and change it to its new height.

I dont know if im allowed to show this data, but it should be processed by tomorrow morning.

Japan, Indonesia, and Canada are all constructing buildings higher than 98 Red River currently.

I really like the detail on the crown! Those little steel slats and the bevel make quite a difference--we'll see if they make the cut!

If they're smart they'll have a limited public observation zone or public bar.

It's a bit surprising that Tokyo, Jakarta, Toronto didn't already have buildings taller than this.
