It really is this time.

So, it's a little after 7 p.m. here right now. We still have 12+ hours of this... and it's already been a major storm.

We're absolutely nowhere near the scary snowfall totals yet thanks to it being ice pellets all last night. But we might be come tomorrow.

Also... shoveled my step earlier. It genuinely was like sand at the base with the layer of ice pellets. Just like shoveling a beach.

Cripes - that’s insane and beautiful at the same time.

No wonder people in St. John’s love their city so much - for obvious positive reasons and because you’d have to be madly in love to put up with that weather! To be fair I think you guys get a couple good months per year (not consecutive, but if you combine all the good days together). ;-)

Good weather feels like a myth I read about once right now.

Like Ireland..nobody moves to St John's for the long uninterrupted days of sunshine and light winds.

As we are posting this I believe that a poster in Palermo is dreaming of one day visiting St John's in all its winter glory.

Airport has eclipsed 50cm. The snow drifts are nuts though. Looking around my property, we are at snowmageddon 2020 amounts of snow. Driveway has about 3 feet in it, looking like 4-5 feet out on the back deck.

That looks cosy: I'd get out my skis and go for a long cross town tour.

Meanwhile, sunny skies turning cloudy before the rainstorm hits overnight, staying around 8C/46F all day in Toronto.

I went for another three hour/15km walk this evening, along Bloor

Through the Annex and down St George/UofT & Spadina/Chinatown to Augusta/Kensington Market

Back along College Street

Then over the Dundas bridge back to High Park.

Lots of beautiful people out and about, lucky they can eat and drink like normies wha.

6C and sunny. What the hell is this snow the ROC is referring to? Not even a flake this March and only only 16.6 cm in February. We've received 1.4 cm since February 19th. Vancouver has received more snow than that in March alone.

Low of -2C (wind chill of -7) this morning.

The warmspot was Welland-Pelham, ON at 17.2C

Warmest low was Discovery Island, BC at 6.2C

Exact! I am totally shocked by the infinite beauty of the photos of St John's. I can't find the right words to define my feelings. I curse my cruel fate that made me born in a city where snow and frost are utopia. St John's is heaven on earth for snow lovers who want to live in a coastal area. In reality even a city like Halifax is a paradise, it records less snowfall than St John's but a lot of snow always falls and the city is splendid

Snowmageddon confirmed. I can't even see some of the cars on my street. You wouldn't even know I had a back deck. I'm getting dressed and heading out lol

Snow ended about an hour ago. Total amount at the airport was 70cm, some local observations were higher.

Yeah, lots of variation on my walk. Harbour Drive was still mostly impassable. Just thigh-high everywhere. Water Street looked like a normal snowstorm in most parts. Cookstown Road was knee deep. I couldn't even get up a couple side lanes. Some bigger drifts on streets perpendicular to the harbour. Etc.

EDIT:
