I'd dearly love to hear some inspiring news about that old KPMG space.

OK, so the place in question is a Venezualean restaurant called Avila Arepa

Not sure if I mentioned this before but the Bay in Kingsway Mall is being renovated. Exterior is now all white. Interior is still ongoing but looking good thus far.

what's going on with the old target space at kingsway? heard lowes was taking on a few of their locations, thought that would be a good fit there

not a perfect solution for DT residents, but having a hardware store a 'quick' LRT ride away is probably as good as it'll get for the near future

Passed thru ECC today.

The hoarding has been removed from the west escalators that lead down to the new Dollarama that's coming in the fall.

Oversized hoarding is up at the BCBG Max Azria space, bottlenecking the pedestrian traffic. Empty bays at other malls have much smaller hoarding, so why are the ones in this mall always bigger than necessary?

Another ECC update: stopped by the The Source, asked them about their impending move. Sales guy with accent said they are closing for 2 weeks in July then reopening next/near Michael Hill end of July, he wasn't very clear. Not sure if he meant the former Eddie Bauer space (which I thought was going to be part of a 2-floor Shoppers Drug Mart) or the former Tip Top space, I think the latter.

^ Update: The Source is opening in the former Infiniti Leather space - hoarding walls has signage indicating as such. So not exactly next to nor across from Michael Hill.

The new Londonderry FoodCourt has got to be the best designed in the City. Great layout, materials used are high quality and create a great ambience.

The whole mall at Londonderry looks great - particular the flooring. Serious $$$$$ spent on the flooring and it looks fantastic.

Be interesting to see when all the new tenants are operational - particularly Simons. I wonder if they will redo the exterior as well?

The Londonderry project is probably my favorite reno of the big malls in Edmonton so far. It's tasteful, refined and clearly inspired by the big London Westfield centres in terms of material, sky terraces, etc. Hope it can get back even just a fraction of its 70's glory heydays and I think it'll do well! Would love to see more entertainment there though, i.e. a small upscale 5-screen theatre but knowing the Cineplex monopoly of the theatrical release window now, that isn't happening anytime soon...
