Saw a sign on the A&W in the Village saying April 15th was its last day of operation. Only places open on Sunday afternoon were Tim’s and Kuma Bento. Hot Shoppe and Silver Bowl were both closed for an equipment issue. Pretty bleak.

Taco Bell is hinting at a possible location opening in the St. John's area

If they do open in St. John's, Ropewalk Lane is where they're rumored to be going

Pizza Hut X2

The Galway Pizza Hut is yet to open, but they have already announced their 2nd location. It will be in the former Robins on the corner of Cashin Avenue and Pennywell Road.

Drove by there today, stopped in and saw that the permit listed in the window says Pizza Hut!

I am hearing that Montana's will re-open on Stavanger Drive with a new franchisee in the coming months. From what I heard, the owner is a current franchisee of another well-established restaurant chain.

As a footnote, it will open as a Montana's again.

Looks like the new restaurant at the old Milestones location is getting set to open; saw 'North 48' signage going on the building yesterday. Not sure when they will be opening or what type of restaurant it will be.

It's the same crowd that owns Vu and Slainte downtown.

Drove by the Montana's on Stavanger Drive today and the sign outside says 'Opening Soon' - so I guess it's official. It's going to be good to see life in this building again.

North 48 on Hebron Way (the former Milestones location) is now open. They are doing a soft opening at the moment. Food and service were really good when we went.

I am hearing that Popeye's Chicken is coming to St. John's. When I don't know. Where, I do know.....Ropewalk Lane. I also don't know if it will be a new build or a Burger King conversion. Burger King, Tim Hortons, and Popeye's are the same company for those handful of people who do not know that by now. Burger King seems to do well on Ropewalk, so I cannot see a conversion myself.
