I was afraid of that. A Nobu hotel without a pool isn’t a great indication of the quality of this rebrand.

yep, full property rebrand to Caesars, now when will they remodel the original hotel, unsure but it needs it...are they going to spend money on Fulton like the original plans, I dont know, ill ask the GM next time I see him

whats odd is that when it Harrahs was built, they always had plans for a 2nd hotel with a spa and a pool, never happened, now they had the chance and still no pool

what we do know is that the new Hotel and casino is expected to be rebranded and open by labor day with the main objective is ready for SuperBowl

They probably had to scrap it due to rising construction cost.

that was my thinking, it started out at $325mil and by the time work started as covid hit and delayed them, the cost is well over $400mil right now. my friend who passed away few months ago not only worked for Harrahs but up until he died, he was inspecting the place, said they are pinching pennies right now and cut corners on a few things he had seen

Any updates on the Superdome and its renovation ( I was in the minority of wanting a new stadium)? But the ole girl really is legendary; so a massive renovation was probably the best option for the NFL, Saints, the city and the state.

Pretty sure no news is good news on that one. They should be on schedule, and I'm sure we'll see promotional photos when it's done.

I always laugh when I listen to people's reasoning behind why something shouldn't be build on a surface parking lot. You build it NOW before you need it. Anything is better than a surface parking lot, especially when it adds more parking.

Build it.

I was browsing around and noticed this article. It was published about a week ago and it's centered around asking executive members of various entities around the metro what they believe are the biggest challenges and opportunities going forward.

Major kudos to those that have the intelligence and wisdom to understand that economic development and infrastructure improvement are THE key areas that need the most focus. Crime is going to be crime and nothing will ever stop it, because people have different motives for why they partake in it. And trust me when I tell you, it's uncommon that people commit crimes because they don't have a dollar in their pocket OR can't work to get one.

Still doesn't mean we have to accept any and all proposals. That reflects your pessimism about the city. Not other people's.

The projection is strong with this one. You have a weird infatuation with me and I don't remember ever speaking to you. At least this time around you addressed me directly and didn't operate like a bozo with a passive aggressive comment.

I have an OPTIMISTIC view of the city. That's why I'm always here pushing the positive about the city to go against what the true pessimists say. Hence why I always preach to BUILD BUILD BUILD. The true pessimists are the ones that say "it'll never work" and that's the majority of the people in the city. You're delusional if you think otherwise. You can take a look at one of my posts from a few days ago talking about the metro area's growth when it comes to economic activity. Go ahead, search all of my posts and let me know which one is me being pessimistic about the overall potential of the city. I'll wait.

Regarding the "accept any and all proposals", I wouldn't want a strip club or a liquor store being built on vacant land just because it's something. Use your brain and understand that when someone says "anything" it's not literal. I know you're smart enough to do that. Then again, no I don't. You're just a person on a message board that I will never and would never speak to in real life.

Good day!

Not reading all that crap but you live in Atlanta. And I don't have an infatuation with you I just find you particularly annoying.

I love the Dome. I wish they could somehow convert it so that it has a retractable roof.

Come on there’s no need for fighting guys- this is a place for positive news and developments. That’s how we lost tennis. Anyways I’m surprised they didn’t try to modernize the Domes roof; they probably didn’t want to reach the $1 billion price tag.

Because I don’t live in the city; but I love it and want to see it get on the same level of Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville etc. That’s why I ask questions and post in here.

Okay well fair enough but I don't think you're absolved of any guilt in running tennis off.
