This is a seemingly bizarre location for a train station.
Anyway, thanks for posting these photographs.

Beautiful! I love how Quebec city does modern buildings! Those who think that faux historicism is the best complement to historic structures need to see how they do it in Canada's oldest city.
Please forgive my ignorance, as I'm only aware of the National Human Rights museum from Winnipeg going up currently, but what project is this? Looks incredible!

the city of calgary loves to give its citizens the great option to ride rail transit, even if they live 30 or more kms in suburban wastelands. god bless their lrt building souls.

Why is that metal fence across the tracks in the last photo?
^ this extension to the LRT has not yet opened. This is in fact a very strange alignment. Not sure why so little right-of-way was reserved through this residential community.

What a horrible place to live. On top of hearing the trains themselves, you'd hear the constant dinging of the train crossing, as well as having your street blocked off multiple times an hour. They should have expropriated more homes and built a larger ROW with some form of buffer between the homes.

this train system is so quiet its scary. you cant here them even when they are only a few feet away. there is no noise at all to worry about for these residents.
The trains themselves are pretty quiet yeah, but it's more the noise from the crossing arms and whatever is generated by those patroning the station. Also I wouldn't be surprised if you can feel the vibration as trains go by - particularly due to the level crossing.
I live a bit farther than those houses from 2 streetcar lines in Toronto and while you can't hear them much, you can certainly feel them.
Also it just seems bizarre having what are essentially brand new single family homes right next to a rapid transit station. I beleive the community was planned with the LRT in mind so it just seems like an odd arrangement.

Exactly. How weren't these lots zoned for multi-family (or even commercial)? Very strange.
