So I'm guessing the plans to have a somewhat covered stadium have gone out the window? Sorry, I haven't been paying that close attention to the project. I just remember seeing that rendering of a covered stadium and was pumped to see the final product.

^^^I believe the canopy roof is just cut away to show the seating configuration.

It actually reminds me a lot of Raymond James Stadium in Tampa - minus the pirate ship of course.

It's just a cut-away view. Partial roof is still there.

The interactive map is really well laid out (compared to others that I've seen). Aparently the north endzone is going to be party central again, according the FAQ. I can't wait...

Aparently all corporate suites and luxury suites have been sold-out for the new stadium, and the Bombers are now putting people on a waiting list. Companies who couldn't get boxes for the Jets?

Is that the seating chart configuration for 33,442 or the expanded 40,000 capacity?

So the extra seating to go up to 40,000 will go to each ends, under the jumbotrons I guess.

A domed stadium in Winnipeg would be a ridiculous waste of money.

Besides, I prefer the open air feeling of football games in Winnipeg. The majority of the games are during the beautiful summer and fall evenings.

I remember going to a few games wearing two snowmobile suits. Easy to sneak booze in with all those clothes on.

I emailed them, and asked if they were planning to install the LED ring lights that's found between the seating tiers, like MTS Centre. I got a response that it is being considered, but they have not come to a decision on it yet.

What do you guys think?

as i recall the mts centre ribbon board cost $250k...so one at the stadium would probably be double that.....not sure they have the cake for that.

would be nice though.
