^^Looks like an older version of the building, but still, the best skyscraper going up in NYC at the moment imo.

Already one of my favorite construction sites in the City. Love the hustle and bustle that goes on around it. And the site of those two cranes that will eventually soar way up into the skyline adds to the excitement.

Hmm I see they are removing the METLIFE sign from the building. I wonder if a new Metlife logo is going up or a new sign altogether?

Ahh nevermind, I found an article on it from the NY Post!

This is already my #1 favorite construction site in the city. It's probably not even in my top 5 supertalls going up in NYC right now, but I just can't get over the location of this one.

Yeah, the location is special not just because of Grand Central, but so much skyscraper history in the area. I feel a similar way about 45 Broad Downtown, just not to this extent.

True about the skyscraper history, especially the Chrysler. But I also think Grand Central being right next door definitely doesn't hurt!

I cant' wait for the observation deck on this one. This will essentially be like the view from the Chrysler, but higher up, and with the actual Chrysler building in the view!

With the completion of this thing, the iconic Empire Sate/ Chrysler buildings phot perspective will forever be changed.

AT least the new tower will compliment them and make a very cool spired trio.

^ The Trifecta. But the BofA never gets any love, lol.

I think this was the slightly higer version, but same effect...

In context of the just the ESB/ CB perspective, the BoA doesn't capture the same essence the Vanderbilt will with the art decoish tapered spire. Too post modern. When zoomed out to all of Midtown, the BoA along with Condé Nast plus the others certainly do...as with that second photo. And will really look amazing in a few years when all those talls are topped out around CP.
