Unfortunately , as said before I think we are looking at years of lawsuits there. everyone suing everyone and then the city is being sued by the developers for removing the CU for allowing the extra density that allowed the original building, which even with my limited legal knowledge seems a blatant violation of the law(not sure why they thought this was a good idea but government doesnt actually have to pay its own legal bills like we do so they dont care about lawsuits that last years) Also, with no criminal charges filed against anyone I think this scenario is all but guaranteed.
Unfortunately, that block will be the victim of such shortsighted nonsense for years to come. Im sure appeals will happen after that regardless of rulings. Best bet is for the Kailas family to sell the property and thats not likely. I just hope that some sort of temporary use of the property can happen that at least make it appealing from the sidewalks and street until such a time as its developable.
