this building went up pretty fast, and unlike the one built a few blocks away at Clearview mall, they built this one mostly with steel instead of wood

I still think if they could figure out a better way to access off i-10 that the esplanade mall site is a perfect location for an IkEA. easier access for the baton rouge metro coming in from the west right there too.

This New Orleans brewpub finally has its own beer. What to know if you want to try it.

Calliope Beer Works opened over the summer at the very end of Oak Street, in the long-time home of Cowbell, a popular burger spot that closed during the pandemic.

For the love of God, PLEASE tear that thing down. Build another apartment complex since there's a new one across the street and they're building another one on the other side of the interstate.

Agree. South Market isn't enough space for an IKEA. It would have to be either in the LGD, the East or by Esplanade. Esplanade makes the most sense.

Agreed and take Plaza Tower with it ( both owned by Jaeger 🙄). I can see Tulane making a play for it since it’s close to their downtown campus and the medical district.

I dont get the desire to tear down the plaza tower. that thing is special and just needs some love. reminds me of people who wanted to tear down the world trade center before the four seasons. very short sighted imho

I wish it were legal to pass a law to prevent Joe Jaeger from being allowed to own or have part ownership in any capacity property in Orleans Parish.

Work has begun on our Dillard University Student Housing Development project with CDW Services! The first set of test piles were driven yesterday! We can't wait to watch this project progress into the new year.

If you are looking for a new restaurant with delicious food, look no further and head to Medium Rare 🍴
You can find this interior build-out of a historical building located on Magazine Street.
PEC completed this fast-track, Negotiated Design-Assist project a few months ago.
Special thanks to Medium Rare for entrusting us with your project, and to MADE Design for partnering with us on the design

Have you checked out Taziki in Old Metairie?
If not, head down Metairie Road to try some delicious Mediterranean food.
PEC completed this fast-track 45-day interior build-out of Taziki. This was a fast-track, negotiated, valued engineered project.
This was our 7th project with our client, The Macromia Group! Each build has been a great experience with these repeated clients.
Owner: Macromia Group
Architect: Atelier Design, Wendy Kerriga

Take a look at what we've been digging up 🛠️
Over in Harvey, LA, on Manhattan Blvd, we have been working on a new construction project of two new retail buildings totaling approx. 21,000 SF of new commercial retail space.
Thank you to Lauricella Land for partnering with us again. It's always a great time partnering with repeat clients.
Architect: Zito Russel Architects

New Orleans is known for its rich history and abundance of preserved estates. With the help of the owners, NOLA Auction House, they have allowed us to contribute to the history of New Orleans.
PEC was selected for this large structural renovation, a negotiated and design-assisted project. PEC is safely working in an existing building and performing detailed coordination with our client while they safely operate their business.
We are thankful to have this opportunity. Thank you, Wendy Kerrigan (Atelier Design), for being a great partner in this build

PEC is working on a $9.7 million renovation of an existing nursing home.
This project is a negotiated / design assist project with extensive Value Engineer cost-saving exercises.
This center has been out of commission since 2021.
PEC is thrilled to help bring this build back to life! Follow along on our journey!
We are excited to grow with Luling Living Center and Ritter Maher Architects.

If you are heading down Saint Charles Avenue, make sure to look out for the new Tulane Family Dentistry. PEC recently completed this large $2 million design assist / negotiated renovation which includes a new private practice dental clinic.

Built in the 1870's as a 2.5-story Italianate-style single-family residence and carriage house, this home went through many additions and modifications before being converted in the mid-1980's into offices for Trinity Church and School and adopting the nickname "Jack's House."
The building will be modernized to serve as offices for Trinity Church and School. The project includes a full exterior rehabilitation of historic features, peeling back the prior additions to reveal the building's historic bones.

We're excited to be a part of returning this vacant building to commerce in downtown New Orleans. It's too beautiful to sit unused on historic St. Charles Avenue!
