will that street by the bluesky be realigned to match up with City Parkway at 104th? I drove past there a couple hours ago, it is an awkward intersection.

Yeah it will. That street north of 104th is city parkway as well, just aligned at a weird angle.

True, though his observation still stands that Bosa's Blue Sky tower will be taller than 3 Civic both geodetically and in pure tower height.

Glad to hear it was approved. Going to be quite a lot of activity in a few square blocks there in the coming years.

I agree with the article. Schools are going to become a major issue as downtown keeps expanding. I think the conversation needs to shift from where they can build an arena to where a couple of new schools can go..

Amazing, I hope it's built out. There's no reason a city of over 500,000 people should not have its own proper downtown core.

This is that vacant site that someone was asking about right?

Yes, this will be in between the post office and the dell mall. This lot was the old modular homes that is now shut down.

Thank you for finding renders about this project that was talked about recently. Definitely impressed with the height and density for the area! It's just amazing seeing all new updates in Surrey regarding the Center Block and downtown developments between 104th and 108th.

Wasn't too long ago when someone here was saying when Surrey will start to get into the 50 story mark. Well now we have possible 3 towers already with BlueSky, Whalley Station, and this.

It’s just too bad that Surrey seems to be the most active city for tower proposals that has no active diagram illustrator.

So many projects, yet the Surrey diagram is bare.

Is there someone that makes them for the other cities? Could perhaps ask them to make a Surrey one?

I have asked Koops before but I don’t want to pester / bother him too much because he is busy with the Toronto diagrams and he has already done a lot for the Vancouver, Burnaby and Coquitlam diagrams.

After him I am not really aware of anyone who does them.

Thought about trying it myself once but I honestly wouldn’t have the time and skill to do so.

100%, just didn't want people to erroneously think we were getting 700+ foot towers anytime soon. Doesn't seem like any city in Metro Vancouver is quite that bold yet.

What? Burnaby has a 700ft+ tower already under construction (Gilmore Place) as well as at least 2 more proposed (Concord Metrotown and Pinnacle Lougheed).
