The glass is going up on Domain Tower 2. Its looks nice. It appears that the monster parking garage will at least be covered in highly reflective glass to match the upper tower portion. This may end up looking really nice and compliment the glass towers on the northern end. Also, I checked out the stadium. Impressive!

I was over by the Domain today. Here are some pictures including the glass along the bottom of Domain Tower 2. Nothing going on at Broadmoor. The site for Domain 9 is cleared but nothing going on with that, either. More pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/vHBouoM

What's that small copy-paste-hotel-looking building on Burnet between Domain 1 and these under construction towers? Maybe I missed that announcement

You got it! It's a small copy-paste-hotel. I wana say it's... Holiday Inn that has that one? Don't quote me on it. IIRC, this little stretch along the edge of Burnett isn't owned by the domain which is why the domain never bothered saying what was going up there.

Another question:

Anyone know what's u/c off North Lamar prior south of Parmer? Seems to be residential and actually pretty nicely designed, but could also secretly be storage or hotel.

Sounds like the Foundation Communities project.
It's listed as Laurel Canyon on their website but I think there are city documents referring to it as "Foundation Village." https://foundcom.org/housing/future-communities/

There are also more apartments going up across the street from Walnut Creek Park but I'm not sure if they've started - I think those are more of the garden-style low density stuff though :/

Also I noticed fencing has gone up around the Chase Bank building on 2711 W Anderson Ln, I'm guessing demo will happen soon for the apartment project.

There are a handful of new ones either completed or under construction on the east side of Burnet, too. A Hilton Garden Inn was just completed on Kramer and Esperanza Crossing, and a Courtyard by Marriott and Townplace Suites are both under construction around the Braker/Kramer intersection.

Throwback article from 2007 with a glimpse of what was to come for the Domain

(This was probably posted in the early days of this thread, but worth another read)

I think the reality is way better than what was planned.

The Domain II webcam has never worked full screen. It's always been more thumbnail size. But if you download a time lapse movie, you can open it full size:

These two are going to look fantastic together. The glass on Domain II looks great as well as the brick on Bowen.

They do! And that avenue that leads to the towers to the north looks pretty cool. The Domain really benefits from the height of these two buildings as far as a skyline that's starting to take shape. The glass towers on the north end make a beautiful little cluster. If you haven't seen them in person, it would be worth the trip to see them up close and personal.

The lack of retail there is seriously disappointing. That area can support retail, easily.
