It looks like the 504 golf complex is back on. I saw construction workers there the last few days. Thats good news I was worried it was dead with Top Golf coming along.

Tennis do you have any information on what 3315 Bienville is going to be? I walked by after seeing the post and it doesn't look like a restaurant I guess it's just a residential renovation.

The red outlined property is what the city is giving to the state in exchange for duncan square property. The state plans to do its own thing with that property eventuallly like state office or something else.. i still dont understand fully what happens to the current city hall land and whats the plan for that.

Do we know what portion of Duncan plaza will be developed? I’m hoping it is the back section, currently grass. I’d hate to see the complete loss of the park and cutting down of the oaks when we have blocks of vacant property and/or parking in nearly every direction.

Doesnt show anything, if its just a new business taking over then their probably wont be anything posted online until they apply for a business license

Just the other side of the coin is its a lot of empty space to fill - its not a city flush with a big corporate presence like Atlanta.

When you get a chance, google "Downtown Atlanta office space empty". It's a major deal here, but they will continue to build elsewhere because that's what companies want.

When you build anew, you'll create the demand. If they see investment, they'll buy in and invest as well. That's what happened here.

I’d love it if the state bought the whole block City Hall is on and turned it into park, perfect for tailgating before a game; and turn the whole block where Duncan Plaza is into new City Hall, courthouse, parking garages, retail, maybe even sell a corner to build a hotel to pay for some of it.

I do think the a park makes more sense on poydras than where it is currently and I am fine if the current city hall is bulldozed.

Is City Hall considered a historical property? If it’s not, I see no reason why it won’t get torn down. Btw, what caused it to get to such a decrepit state; seems the city should’ve taken steps to remedy that years ago.

Its not a designated landmark but it is old enough to qualify for historic tax credits if an owner wanted to pursue that
