My turn to say I don't know what you mean. By "columns" I'm talking about the two towers sprouting out of the podium, not an architectural flourish of some kind.

Where else aside from Toronto, and presumably Vancouver as well, are they putting up towers on podiums to the same degree?

Just about everywhere when the opportunity allows for a podium between two or more towers. Where else are people supposed to park there cars?

Totally agree. Parking should be underground. The immense costs, high parking ratios and, municipal governments that don't care about above or below ground has lead to thousands upon thousands of towers built above parking podiums with much larger floor plates than the tower.

What a great shot of Halifax. THat brick housing complex in he middle there is uniacke square. Not the nicest place in the 80s and 90s. Glad to see the area has improved.
