i'm afraid they will never manage to top out the tower in april:
we are the 8th of february and 70 meters are still missing !
in two month, it's nearly impossible...

there's still hope
Well its not like at the stroke of midnight at April 1 they'll just top out. At least possibly by the end of April. Theres only about 4-5 jumps left so maybe the mid to end of April
^haha yea, but on April 1st and this isn't done, the news is definitely gonna make a story about how it missed the deadline or something, just like they made a story out of wtc being capped even though it was known for a wicked long time already.
^ I don't see why they should, although it would be nice. The ESB does the lights. The old Twins never did anything like that. But the new WTC will definitely be more lit than the old.

I don't see why not. The steel is higher so it will grow taller faster. But if not early April than definitely late May-early June.

I'm happy to see new steel! Biggest columns so far looks like cause of mechanical floors, but anyway the PA released a statement today. It said that the reason of One Wtc's small delay was of two reasons, one being that it was cause of harsh winter weather .And two because, as some of you may have all ready seen, of a design flaw with the tenants loading dock under the tower. They also said the building is still on schedule and WILL top out this spring in either April or May!
it looks amazing from my terrace. Floors 91 thru 93M are all mechanical..so these are the boxy looking windows....

“Office buildings are our factories – whether for tech, creative or traditional industries we must continue to grow our modern factories to create new jobs,” said United States Senator Chuck Schumer.

I'll be in New York Mid May, really hoping to see the building topped by then, when I was there in early January I was already blown away by how much presence this building had, I can only imagine once they throw on a couple hundred more feet and a spire!
It's amazing to think that this tower is just 20 feet above the height of 3 WTC, which is going to be huge I guess seeing this tower at 1,155 feet recently
