Blenfest, if you are reading this, I'll trade the high-def time lapse for a night's stay in the W for my parents when they visit :-)

They won't want it. Just take them to the restaurant and bar. Like 'trendy' Ian Schrager hotels, most rooms at the W brand are similarly small. I put my parents up for a weekend at the NY Midtown W a number of years back (probably almost 10 years now). My dad went to the front desk to ask if there were any bigger rooms available for upgrade. There weren't. They were booked. They said "Pretend you're on a ship." Maybe the Philly rooms will be bigger...land is at less of a premium.

Indeed! As FMC and Comcast are wrapping up we've got another big one poking out of the ground that we can watch! I just hope that once this is nearly completion we'll have something else large to watch go up (Cira II, 2100 Market, first Schuylkill Yards tower, perhaps, come to mind).

while this is being built let's hope that SLS, Chinatown Tower, 1911 Walnut and 1910 Chestnut , the 23rd and cherry PMC tower break ground at a minimum.

Of these, realistically Chinatown, 1910 Chestnut, and 23rd & Cherry will happen.

However, the 23rd & Cherry proposal is so bad, especially compared to what we've seen in previous proposals, I'd rather nothing at all.

Another one I'd love to see pop out of the ground though is 4th & Callowhill.

It will be a game changer in terms of extending the skyling north and east.

Not to mention connecting Old City with No Libs!

We walk between those 2 parts of the city all the time and it's a bummer.

would really be great for a better connection/pedestrian experience

I live in Bella vista and like to walk but rarely find myself going to No Libs or Fishtown because of this . I know one can walk but I jut rarely do it yet walk that far often

Have a night of mischief starting in No Libs with some coworkers tomorrow maybe will walk or more likely a subway there then uber home

Anyway the 4th and Callowhill would make a lot of difference and if only Callowhill could get a diet from the frogger like environment today

after 676 was built there should be plans to reduce lanes - maybe a two way dedicated bike lane on the north side with a divider

3rd and 4th need to have much better pedestrian crossings IMHO and callowhill has many streets where it may no be possible to create a better crossing
