That sum is for two projects they are planning in the metro.

https://www.bizjournals.com/austin/n...financing.html

Michelle Pitcher – Staff Writer, Austin Business Journal

..."Reger Holdings LLC, a New York-based real estate developer, has secured $278.5 million in construction financing from Madison Realty Capital LP for projects in Austin.

The financing is for The Linden, a condominium high-rise planned at 313 W. 17th St., and various elements within EastVillage, an ambitious mixed-use development planned for East Parmer Lane.

Madison Realty’s loan makes up the debt investment, while Reger Holdings provided the equity for both major developments."

Oops. Maybe I should have taken the time to actually read the article instead of skimming it.

Demolition

Looks like demolition has begun on the old building on this lot.

They don't want to be 100% at this point and have actually slowed marketing. They have a ~2 yr buildout and need homes to sell (especially with price escalations this market is seeing).

Activity at this one today. Cyclone fencing is up and there's a bobcat tractor on the site. Looks like they'll finally tear down the structure this week.

Oh that's interesting. I guess I never put it together on my mental map that it would be next to the new Hilton Garden Inn. That's gonna be a pretty bulky block when all's said and done.

Ah, yes. The golden shovel moment. The excavator must have already left the site. Otherwise it would have been the backdrop.

I'd been ignoring this project but now that I'm paying attention and I know exactly where this is located, I realize now that this section of downtown is quietly turning into one of the most densely built sections of downtown. I drove through here just the other day and that was one of the first things I noticed. But I didn't realize that this project was going up right next to The Clay Pit. Now I'm a little more excited to see the outcome.
