Bonnell and into Austin's Northwest Hills (north of the River - before turning further west near MoPac & 183). In essence, north of Lady Bird Lake, the Texas Hill Country extends no further east than MoPac.

However, you are correct. Most rock under the City of Austin (proper) is limestone.

Either the rain or unexpectedly tough digging has pushed out the crane installation until the last weekend in June.

This one should start rising soon. When I drove by this morning I noticed the core is now at street level.

Man, this one is really going to change one's perspective of Austin when coming driving in from the north. I'm excited to see this one go vertical.

This one is starting to go up fast. The elevator core and cement pumper can be seen on the 1601 Congress webcam poking above the buildings on the future Symphony Tower site. Speaking of Symphony Tower (blatant segue), the presumed new site plan was posted to AULCC this week. But the pdf is corrupted and won't open.

Yeah, I saw that. Hopefully, they get that fixed. You can view the data file. It lists the start date as September 1, 2020, and the completion date as September 1, 2021, and it lists the design stage as 60% complete. It says they're having a meeting on October 17, so they should have that file fixed, or maybe even another one posted by then.

Yep. I appreciate that. These aren't easy construction sites to photograph.
