Nice, thanks.

The dark glass hides the spandrel fairly well -
goes to show how much solar gain they are preventing by reducing the vision glass.

Four weeks later. I think there are three more floors. No change to the podium glazing, though. A few more floors of glazing on all sides of the tower.

Looks like a couple more floors in 3 weeks, and a few more floors of glazing.

The fins / sunshades should contrast nicer with the dark glass.

You can't beat tinted dark glass glazing.

Yes it should be a sharp effect, hopefully they start installing them soon so we can see.

This project is funny - took what felt like half a decade to get to ground level now its full speed ahead.

Looks great so far.

It's topped out now, in accordance with city council restrictions.

They installed a few fins on friday. They were covered in protective wrap so not sure what colour they are, hopefully white like in the renders for contrast. Will definitely add to the building, pretty heavy duty by the looks of it. Probably will block some of the view from the condos though.

Thanks for the heads up. Some quick shots today from the bus as I was going by. This could get really interesting.

Very cool to see these shading structures go up. It's going to be a unique looking building once complete. What an improvement for this corner.

Nice, thanks.

They extend farther from the curtain wall (and balcony edges) than the rendering shows,
so they give the illusion of being peaked like a tent.
That depth (10ft?) will also prevent occupants from seeing the street from the curtain wall (non-balcony) windows.

Here's a better pic to go beside the rendering.

Here are some various angles of the fins to get an idea of the shape and proportions.

The public will now take notice and interest in the project.
