It has a bit too much reflection for my liking, but it could be the light in the sky or the angle. I'm curious to see what it looks like when there is more up.

Exactly. Wait until there are 6 or 7 complete floors before we rush to any conclusions. It's hard to tell right now what it will look like in various conditions, and as a finished product.

I stopped by the Pearl this afternoon and found that there is now cladding on both the north and south side of the building. Here are a couple of photos I took.

I think the blue will look really nice and add a fresh look to the skyline.

I hope they start building some Tall, slender towers in Calgary. That's why I'm glad to see the "Guardian" going up!

I like that they built nice healthy sized balconies. Something more than three people could enjoy.

Here are a few photos I took of the Pearl today from ETLC at the University of Alberta. I won't be getting any more photos from this angle, as I have now graduated with my degree in Materials Engineering. While I'm excited about this, it means I'll no longer have access to the building regularly. Enjoy these "end of an era" photos!

I'm liking this one a lot more now that it's built. It's going to turn out better than the renderings.

Looks good, exactly what that part of Edmonton needs.

I really like the contrast of the white opposite the blue panels. Should look great! I assume the vents are for air circulation between floors?? and for venting fans, etc.

It was looking great this weekend when I was at the range at Victoria hitting some balls. Can't wait to see glazing all the way up.

Does anyone have a recent floor count? It looks like they are just finished pouring the floor for 33 or 34.

I stopped by the Pearl today for a look around. There was a large shipment of glass being delivered and moved up to the different floors of the building today. It looks like glass installation will soon be in full swing. There has been no new glass fitted since the previous photos of the building that have been featured here were taken. Here are a few pictures I took this afternoon.
