I'd rather the provider be tickets.com than ticketbastard. Can you imagine all the fees?

I couldn't find 4 tickets for anything expect the medal ceremonies.
You are the ONLY person I have heard to get in.

Been able to attempt to log in 4 times now, but not any further...grrr
The web developers didn't test the web page code properly in different type of browser. IE should work better.

Most likely they would have worked out a deal, and you'd actually be able to get your tickets. Like when U2 or Bon Jovi go on sale and sell out within minutes. They are able to sell out because people are able to USE the website!

And, having looked at my past purchase for closing ceremonies, I was charged $36 "purchasing fee" plus "$20 shipping fee" so why exactly do we hate on Ticketmaster and their $5 fee ?

EDIT: Even vancouver2010.com seems to be Apache. At this point I wish it was Microsoft. Who do you call when Apache breaks?

Apache? I read a few years ago from some technical articles SQL Server clusters are used. Vanoc was hiring SQL Server developers. May be I got the information wrong...
I use Apache too, but 'you are on your own' if something doesn't work properly.

Since the web site is not working properly, the phone system would also get overloaded.

Edit: It is now 11:25am, lunch time. I think I am about to give up and use the money to buy a BIG LCD TV. Hopefully CTV would do a good job for the games coverage.

Good luck for everyone who is still trying to get through the web site or by phone.

How come they don't have an Indian call centre.

I think we crashed the phone system. I am getting "Due to network difficulties, your call could not be completed at this time"

Quick. Someone rob a bank.

Is it possible they are under cyber attack? Olympic protest hackers?

I'm trying to give them an out here.

I found on Facebook that the waiting room does apparently exist for phase 3 and it appears to be working.. but does it actually do anything? https://frontline-tickets.vancouver2010.com/buy/TMSPublicEventInfo?agency=OLMP_MYTIXX&roomid=5

Looks to be doing something *now*, but the waiting rooms always failed for me before. That link earlier took me right to the buy page.

Tickets to Whistler events will not be on sale during Phase 3 because the Olympic bus network (OBN), the transport system for spectators originating in Metro Vancouver, has reached maximum capacity in Whistler.
Say what?

Thanks for the waiting room link. It doesn't appear to be doing anything for me yet though.

I doubt it will, really. There is no way to access it from the main website, still goes to http://images.vancouver2010.com/images/tms/vanoc_onsale.html
