Stanley Street looking north, March 19, 2010

Nicely done! Although the varying building heights in downtown Montreal detract from the canyons a little bit, IMO. (Although the high quality architecture makes up for it)

Thanks, here are some older canyons:

March 16, 2010

McGill Street looking south

the classic wall you all know

St-Jacques Street looking east

Notre-Dame Street looking east

Little older canyons being redevelopped:

Queen Street looking south

Prince Street looking north, framing Place Ville-Marie

Canyon inside a single building

inside the Nordelec Building in Pointe-St-Charles, March 18, 2010

MORE coming, obviously...

This one still gets my vote as well. Just something about it. Montreal has some great canyons as well. And of course.....so do you Toronto! How could you not? You have Canada's largest skyline! At least let us bask in our glory now and then. We are not that bad here!

Heading to St. Jacobs and Elmira Ontario tomorrow. Should I grab some pics of the urban canyons?!?

P.S. I agree, that 4th ave Calgary shot is very dramatic. Amazing shot.

I agree it's an excellent shot. We need some more Toronto and Montreal shots from higher up though to compare. Plus the building on the left totally obscures that side and gives the impression that there's a thick wall on that side (maybe there is, I don't know Cgy well enough).

Ah well I guess you'll come during the big music/comedy festivals.

^ Nice, we don't see downtown North York / uptown Toronto too often. We'll probably see more pics once construction of those (Hullmark?) towers starts.
