Help Requested - Tallest U/C in Each State

Hi,

I'd like to make a map of the US (Canadian provinces are cool too) showing the tallest building under construction in each state. My idea is to use a color coded Google Map template (eg. states shaded green have a tallest u/c that's 1,000 ft or higher, red for 750-999 ft etc.) and allow for the user to click through for more details on each project.

Questions: Does this map already exist somewhere?

If not, what's the easiest way to get all the tallest u/c by state/province data?

I honestly think that the tallest building currently under construction in Michigan may be the new bell tower at Oakland University in Auburn Hills/Rochester Hills. It is 151 feet tall and was recently topped out. Oakland University also has a six story housing building and a six story engineering building under construction along with a new parking structure and maintenance building.

I know there are one or two proposals for apartment buildings in downtown Detroit, but I do not believe that any of them have broken ground yet. We do not get a lot of highrise construction here in Michigan.

The tallest building U/C in New York would be 432 Park Avenue.

California: Wilshire Grand (although Salesforce tower has a taller roof height)
Washington: 2021 Seventh Avenue Tower
Illinois: Chicago Spire (on hold, but being built)
Florida: Panorama Tower
Texas: 609 Main at Texas
Philadelphia: FMC Tower at Cira Centre South
Nevada: Fontainebleau Resort & Casino (on hold)
Oregon: Park Avenue West Tower

Thats basically it for taller buildings. The recession really slowed down the amount of building under construction, but the buildings that are close to being built are very exciting.

I don't think the spire really counts as UC at the moment so the tallest UC in Illinois would be 200 North Riverside Plaza at 223 meters.

At the moment, a dormitory for UA in Tuscaloosa is the tallest UC in Alabama:

Presidential Village 7 floors (nearly 1,000 beds). Dunno how tall (feet wise) though.

There is a building in Birmingham that is very close to beginning under construction and is 15 floors high (dunno the actual height).

The new northwest mutual tower and commons in Milwaukee is supposed to top out at 550 feet.

JW Marriott the 54-storey building, which will be made up of 22 floors of hotel space and condo/residential space above the hotel, will include 356 rooms and suites, more than 25,000 square feet in meeting and conference space, and a 10,000 square foot ballroom. This is also being built at the same time beside the Stantec tower. The condo tower to the left will start construction this year. Was reduced in height from 55 to 40 stories
