Projected construction start is May 2016.

Occupancy of lower condominiums is scheduled to start in 2019.

Soft hotel opening is slated to be in early 2020.

I've gotta say I really like most if not all of the refinements here. Made most of the meeting as well, and caught most of that for which I was there (find it incredibly difficult to not nod-off at all during traffic portions......which is I bet what the majority of the audience is most interested in!).....

For the part of the Q&A I was able to stick around for, funniest question was from one woman who was complaining about the public school not being built/under construction yet (I hesitate to even bring it up, as I am 1,000% on her side as far as CPS dragging its feet on this, and I feel the demand is clearly there (again, they don't realize how much of a chicken-and-egg thing this issue is), and we should at minimum have the public school under construction by now, if not even already open.......so with the overall point, I'm clearly strongly of the same mind. But she actually thought that Vista Tower will be a significant contributor to CPS demand (based on very large average unit sizes, etc)! This tower (in real estate broker, ie 'shit-slinger' speak) is in the upper-upper bracket for Chicago. One should look at a Trump Tower, for instance, for a sense of how many CPS kids will be living here.....that's probably a reasonable comp. This won'd be a very highly-occupied tower to begin with (what I mean by that is some owners will be just parking there money in these units - not literally! - others this will be a pied-a-tiere (too lazy to look up sp at moment!)-type thing, etc........sure there will be some families actually living here full time - but to the extent some do, those with school-age children will be overwhelmingly attending GEMS or another private school.........(might be a very small minority CPS, but not by any means any type of needle-moving number).....again, this tower's condos will be very expensive for downtown Chicago......

^ As far as I know, yes - that's correct - it's been dropped from the tower's name. However, I think the hotel might still use "Wanda"...............someone else may correct me though on one or both........?

a good number of new pictures of vista. Can't tell if some of the lobby/public space photos are just pictures from other Wanda hotels or actual renderings.

That looks really nice. But I'm confused are they adding a ramp from the upper wacker? Also is that residential or Hotel area?

No ramps are being added. The eastern most end of upper Wacker will be the hotel loading and unloading.
