Had a feeling we would see this core lift off from the rest of the structure. This is going to be a badass construction site to watch rise. The West core is already getting close to the top of the lobby level and into the hotel floors. Soon this will be visible rising from all sorts of angles.

pegs used to tie off the re-bar around the columns (places of high tension), and the post tension cable heads in the recesses.

I'm running the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge this evening. The race route loops down Middle Wacker. Looking forward to getting my first in-person look at the construction.

Good luck with the run aaron. Anyone know how many floors above upper wacker the parking garage goes?

Garage is entirely "below grade" from Wacker. Once the lobby and funky conference spaces are done, this suckers gonna take off as if it's not already cruising along for such a large and complex project. Magellan and Wanda have to be very happy with the contractor at this point.

Seriously this has been such a well managed site so far (knock on wood), I'm absolutely astounded every time new photos go up.
