Those buildings look like bad op art - kind of hurt the eyeballs. Here's hoping the design takes inspiration from Atlanta's several fine skyscrapers.

I think these are not the Final proposals, Phase 1 should begin in early 2015(January possibly). So they got time to change it thats if the have the desire to.

My brain messed up and somehow read 39,57,60 Stories as 39,576 stories or something like that.

Well, if Atlanta got a 39,576 story tower than maybe forumers would stop bellyaching about OKC's skyline being out of whack.

Yay Atlanta! Been following this project for a bit now. Lots of development heating up in the area. But Atlanta is so different, we have 38 story buildings going up outside of the perimeter on Ashford Dunwoody. If all of that was centered it would be game changing. Anyways, can't wait to see this and others move forward.

very cool. i'm just coming across this proposed project.

i love the design...a perfect compliment to midtown's diverse skyline. let's hope the entire project is realized.

Agreed and the funny thing about this development, is that every since that it was proposed we got 5 other high rises was proposed around it and majority was on 14 st or Peachtree.

Not to mention, this area will be mad dense in 2-3 years also there another development right across the street from One Atlantic Center (OAC) (the building on the right side next to the development) will be another tower which is 1163 W. Peachtree : and right next to that development left of it it's another one and like 2 more developments behind it....

And i'm not sure if that's a proposed tower on the left side of that rendering.

There's nothing new on the left side. I know you're referring to the building on the right side, as you've asked this before, but that is supposed a render of the existing four seasons. It's just a very bad model of it.

14th Street tower could soar to 70 stories

Quote:
Two years after first pitching the project, developers are tweaking a plan for Midtown’s former Symphony Center site to include a 70-story skyscraper, potentially making it one of the tallest buildings in the city.

Looks like it will be second tallest according to the latest insider info.

I assume the design will change from what we've seen. Looking forward to some new renderings!
