Yes, well I love Boston, it's a solid city, with a lot of charm. You are right about Montpelier, it also is surprising in that it is supersmall and yet has a number of majestic buildings alongside the State Capitol that gives it an air of a frontier capital-to-be. I like the small business streets also. There really is very little that Vermont doesnt do right. It may be small in population, but that doesnt mean the choices it makes arent grown-up.

Thanks for the pics! Burlington's a great place.

Another asset the city has that wasn't mentioned in the thread (nor is it visible in the pics) is the cheap US-bound flights for us just north of the border.

thank you for responding but my Boston comment was kind of a tongue and cheek remark as you probably know given my location and you are right, Vermont does it right, it's just a wonderful place

Yep I surmised as much about the irony on Boston. I have the same attitude about Montreal too.
